Best way to reheat pizza

Great article I stumbled across on thekitchn.com covering multiple ways to reheat pizza. I’ve tried 4 of the 5 they test and tonight I went with their oven method. Pizza came out great!

Enjoy the article and some leftover pizza!

Best Crypto Explainer Ever

CBS Sunday Morning had an amazing segment last week by David Pogue. He walked you through crypto, blockchain, how to spend crypto, where to buy it, and much more. It was outstanding!

Today, while on the phone with my mom, she asked about crypto. Just when I was about to attempt to explain, and field dozens of questions, I remembered the segment and avoided the whole conversation by offering to send her the link to the awesome segment.

Here it is for you. Watch. Enjoy. Share. Thank me later.

The Nirvana Pitch Letter

Through a very random click history (searching for leadership material, joining a Slack community, clicking on a link in an unrelated channel) I ended up on the following gem.

Follow this link to read the “pitch letter” to Nirvana where Steve Albini tries to sell them on letting him produce their last album. Spoiler Alert: it worked!

Enlightening Segment about Bitcoin Beach

I really enjoyed this segment on 60 Minutes tonight about “Bitcoin Beach” in El Salvador. With no tie-in to Bitcoin it would still be my #BestThing, but the Bitcoin angle makes it that much better. Stop what you’re doing and watch it now.

Josh Long Tutorial on new web framework Hilla

Today’s Best Thing was a great YouTube video by Josh Long. He is equally entertaining, comedic and enlightening while covering the new web framework he reviews, Hilla.

Watch the video and experience Josh walking through their Getting Started guide.

Great site for learning modern WordPress features

I have not blogged much in almost a decade. Since then, WordPress has really improved, and I thought it was great way back when I used it regularly.

Now they have amazingly simple theme editing capabilities. Keeping your WordPress and plugins up-to-date couldn’t be easier. But, the most impressive thing is the new Block / Gutenberg editor.

While trying to learn more about setting up this blog I stumbled across a great site, wpbeginner. They have tons of outstanding content, but the most useful post I found so far is the one they cover the Block editor.

Great Tutorial on Spring Injection

I thoroughly enjoyed Dan Vega‘s great YouTube tutorial on Spring injection. His videos are so well done and this one is on-par with his other content.

If you are just getting started with the Spring Framework, or want a refresher on why you, and everyone else, is using constructor injection, you should watch this video.

Why are we digging holes so deep in the Earth?

This video blew my mind. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a YouTube vid and paused so frequently to google things I’d never heard of. I found it fascinating. MetaBallStudios has produced a video that both gives perspective and enlightens you to both man-made and naturally occuring inner-earth caves, shelters, etc.

Let me know what you think.

Moon Knight Article

I didn’t spend much time on the internet today. Was very busy at work, went to the gym, and then out for dinner for my birthday. I literally had to check my Chrome history to choose today’s “winner”.

I’m going with a great article I read on the NY Times about the new Marvel show, Moon Knight. Excited to start watching with kid #2. We watch all the Marvel stuff together and I new nothing, Zero, not-a-thing about Moon Knight. This helped!
